Concerns about Biometric Employee Punch Clocks

One of the concerns expressed by both employees and employers alike is the safety of biometric employee punch clocks. What happens if the punch clock is stolen along with all of the fingerprint information in the clock? The manufacturers of biometric employee punch clocks have addressed this concern.  They have engineered these clocks so that it creates a template of 25 to 30 distinct points and matches them on a one to one basis to identify the person. This one to one matching is unlike what is done by police scanners that match prints on many bases. The template created by the one to one matching cannot be reverse engineered to create a full fingerprint. Therefore the security of the biometric employee punch clock should no longer be of any concern to either employer or employee.
